What's in a e-Cigarette ?

The most common question people ask is “What’s the difference between an e-Cigarette and a Vaporizer?”. The short answer – Not Much! As the name implies, e-Cigarettes are designed to replace traditional cigarettes, and as such, typically are less complex, using rechargeable or even disposable batteries, and pre-filled Cartridges or Pods.
Vaporizers are usually larger devices, and often provide a longer battery life, but typically have a re-fillable or interchangeable tank, providing the user with a wider choice of e-liquids to vape.

Nicotine Salts
Nicotine Salts, as opposed to ‘freebase nicotine’ liquids, are a growing trend in the vaping world. When Nicotine Salts (or ‘nic salts’) are used to make e-liquids it makes for a ‘smoother hit’, making inhalation easier. Typically the concentrations are higher in nic salts, giving the user a stronger nicotine effect without the harshness associated with more traditional e-liquids. Nic Salts also evaporate more easily making them ideal for lower temperature vaping.
Propylene Glycol (PG) vs Vegetable Glycol (VG)
Together with flavorings and any Nicotine solution, Propylene Glycol and/or Vegetable Glycol is what makes an e-liquid. PG is a thinner, tasteless liquid which is primarily responsible for the ‘throat-hit’ users feel. VG is a much thicker, stickier liquid which imparts a sweeter taste and produces larger clouds of vapor. Most e-liquids use a mixture of PG and VG so check this ratio based on your desired results.
